My name is Taylor Crowther. Throughout my career as a health care provider and fitness professional, I have come across so much information that is false in regards to health and fitness. Some of these misconceptions have been around for years and have been passed down like folklore and overtime have become accepted as truth. Unfortunately, as we progress as a society and grow we often realize that what we once thought was true has changed. Evidence continues to come forth helping to answer our questions about what actually works and what doesn’t in all areas of our lives. I use evidence and research to guide my decisions as a health care provider in order to give the best care I can to my patients. I have taken this commitment to rely on evidence in my medical career and applied it to the health and fitness industry as well.
I want to help you understand what the research and evidence say about health and fitness. Often, it can be confusing reading scientific literature and interpreting what it exactly means. That is what I am here for. I want to take the research and evidence and give it to you in a very easy to understand format that makes sense and can then be applied to your own life. Relying on evidence, not opinion, is the best way to ensure you get the results you want and in the quickest and most effective way.
I currently work as a Physician Assistant in urgent care after previously working in an internal medicine and family practice clinic for 5 years. I have a bachelor’s in exercise physiology and a master’s of medical sciences. I am committed to providing you with evidence-based advice that will help you achieve your health and fitness goals.
I look forward to helping and learning from you as we navigate the science of health, fitness, and weight loss together in order to figure out what really works and how to get the results we want. Please leave feedback, criticism, comments, and support. With your help, we can work together to make this site as beneficial as possible.
